Through Jenny's classes, I have been able to find an inner stillness. Her calm & caring instruction has assisted me with my occasional back pain, but more importantly, she cultivates a balanced state of wellbeing that lasts long after class. It is a pleasure to attend her yin yoga sessions.
I wanted to express how much I am enjoying Jenny's yin yoga classes. She has a warm, accepting and knowledgeable presence and the format flows easily from one posture to the next. Jenny always has alternatives to help those of us who are less supple and I love how I always leave her sessions feeling calmer and confident about my day. Jenny's passion and enthusiasm for her subject are inspiring and I would thoroughly recommend her teachings to everybody!
Living on a narrowboat and keeping a small-holding is quite a physical way of life. Being the wrong side of 55 years, I decided to take up yin yoga. I so wish I had done sooner! I enjoy the pace of the class and the help from Jenny to get the most benefit from the poses. She always knows an alternative position if it is not quite working and I always feel the difference accordingly! Yes, I do sometimes ache a little after but I always feel wonderful the next day!
I have been very fortunate to discover Jenny's yin yoga class - it surpasses all my expectations! The class is intimate & friendly; set in a warm & cosy environment with soft lighting and gentle background music. It is a real treat for me! Run by Jenny, who's gentle way and 'easy to follow' nature, helps me naturally ease into the yin yoga flow. I can really feel the physical and mental benefits since I have been attending class.
I had never tried yin yoga before. I am sometimes a bit skeptical as I have some underlying health issues. Well, it has become an important part of my week and life really, as it really helps me relax, which I feel helps with my other issues. I enjoy the calming effect on my mind and feel more flexible in my body. Jenny helps ease me into a pose suitable for my body (helped by the fact she provides bolsters and props) and I enjoy the entire body-mind experience. I have attended meditation with Jenny also. It was wonderful to let go of all thoughts and worries and sink into deep peace and stillness. I always leave feeling refreshed and restored & glad I went to class!
I've been practicing yoga for over 30 years, with experience of many different styles & many different teachers. What I love about Jenny is her knowledge over many years of working with bodies - she not only teaches a great yin yoga class but is keen to give advice and help my body adjust in a way that i feel benefit from. Her ability to create an environment of complete body-mind balance & harmony is an experience I look forward to every class. It makes a difference to how I feel in my body, in my mind and in my life in general. I think everybody should try it! Not to mention that Jenny provides all props. This saves me great expense and the inconvenience of buying, storing and carrying them from class to class - this for me is a generous and privileged gift, very rarely experienced in any other classes. Just to add that I just love yoga nidra with Jenny also. As a chronic fatigue sufferer of many years, Jenny has introduced a powerful practice that enables me to switch off my whirling mind, helping harmonise and restore my energy levels, enhancing a more improved quality of life and helping me recover from relapses. It has been a life-changer!
Actually, Jenny is my mum! I'm 28 years old and been playing rugby since I was 5. I lift a lot of weights & enjoy 'what I'd consider' hardcore exercise - supported and guided by my mum over the years. I take very good care of myself in general as I live with a debilitating disease called 'addisons'. Mum had asked me on many occasions to consider doing yin yoga because of it's ability to stimulate the energetic system by means of getting into specific postures that support and stimulate various organs & bodily systems to increase energy and improve health. For me, it provides perfect balance and equilibrium for my body and health in general for someone living with the effects of tough contact sport, a debilitating illness and a challenging career. I'm glad I tried yin yoga and enjoy the benefits it brings to my life & to my game of rugby!
First and foremost - Jenny provides all props including bolsters. I love that I don't have the added expense of buying them, neither do I have to carry them with me every class! Then, through Jenny's guidance, I have realised the benefits of using them!
I have found yin yoga a great holistic form of practice, bringing benefits for mind, body and soul. My body feels more open, flexible and strong in a different way than before. Yin also brings inner calmness, enabling me to leave concerns and worries behind which consequently allows me to focus on myself. It brings balance to my life!
Jenny has a great wealth of knowledge and experience of her practice subject and enjoys sharing her love of 'benefits' that yin yoga brings to us all - this is very apparent in every session. She is a real 'people person' and easy to be around and relate to. I really enjoy her calm and relaxed persona which extends out to create the entire wellbeing - vibe of the class. It helps me ground, mentally and physically bringing an inner peace, which I feel would benefit everyone.
I have come to yin yoga as part of my new and exciting next phase of life as a retiree. Jenny was recommended to me from a friend who had attended her classes for some time and rated her as one of the best yoga instructors she had known. I went along and was made very welcome by Jenny who took the time to listen to my reasons for wanting to try yin yoga. I completed a health questionnaire and felt like I was in good hands. Jenny explained what yin yoga was about and all its benefits and how it compared to other forms of yoga. Jenny demonstrated each move with variations for the beginner and the advanced. My journey is still new but I have noticed a new degree of flexibility within my body - aches and pains of being 57 have disappeared . I really enjoy the tranquil mindset of the technique and Jenny's calm and comforting voice and persona makes this a seamless process for the duration of the class. I would have no hesitation in recommending Jenny’s yin yoga - I really enjoy it!
